Hello, future healthcare professionals! 👋 I’m SABI, and this October I want to tell you why we celebrate National Physical Therapy Month and how you can become part of this life-changing profession. 💪
Why do we celebrate physical therapy? 🗓️
Every October we recognize physical therapy professionals for their dedication to helping people regain their mobility, improve their well-being, and enjoy a better quality of life. ❤️
Behind every milestone there is effort, patience, and a team committed to their patients’ recovery. Because recovery doesn’t happen on its own: someone has to be in that room, counting the reps and saying “one more, you’ve got this” on the day the patient wants to give up. 🙌
What exactly does a physical therapist assistant do? 🤔
Many people think the PTA just “helps out.” The reality is that the PTA is the one beside the patient throughout the entire session, under the direction of a licensed physical therapist:
🏋️ Guides the therapeutic exercises prescribed for each patient
🤲 Applies treatments such as manual therapy, electrical stimulation, and ultrasound
🦯 Teaches the safe use of crutches, walkers, and assistive devices
📋 Documents progress and reports changes to the supervising physical therapist
💬 Supports and motivates patients when progress feels slow
That last point isn’t in any textbook 📖, but ask anyone who has been through rehabilitation: the person who kept them coming back each week is the one they remember. 💙

Would you like to help others regain their movement and confidence?
At SABER College, our Physical Therapist Assistant (A.S.) program prepares you to support physical therapists in patient care, combining classroom knowledge, hands-on labs, and supervised clinical experiences. 🏥
⏳ Approximately five semesters
🏫 On-campus in Miami, with fully equipped labs
🏅 CAPTE programmatic accreditation — what prepares you to sit for the NPTE-PTA exam, required for licensure
👐 Hands-on from the start: you don’t learn rehabilitation by reading about it
👉 SABI’s advice: before enrolling at any institution, always verify its CAPTE accreditation. In this profession it isn’t a detail — it’s the foundation of everything. 🧱
Your future begins with a first step 🚶
As a physical therapist assistant, you’ll contribute to the rehabilitation process of people with injuries, mobility limitations, and other physical needs, always under the direction and supervision of a physical therapist. 🤝
You’ll be able to work in outpatient clinics, rehabilitation centers, hospitals, long-term care facilities, and sports medicine. ⚽🏀
And here’s a tip worth gold 💎: one of our admission requirements is 20 signed observation hours in a physical therapy setting. It sounds like paperwork, but it’s your chance to stand in a real clinic and see the job before you commit. October is the perfect month to do it: many clinics are celebrating Physical Therapy Month and gladly welcome anyone eager to learn. ☎️
💰 We also offer financial aid options, including federal grants and loans for those who qualify.
At SABER College we believe that a career in healthcare begins with one powerful motivation: making a difference in other people’s lives. ✨
Every physical therapy patient is working toward something completely ordinary: walking to the mailbox 📬, picking up a grandchild 👶, getting back on the court 🏀. Ordinary things… that stop being ordinary the day you lose them.
And someone has the privilege of being there when they get them back. 💙
This October, let’s celebrate the people who keep the world moving! 🌎
