PTA Training
The physical therapist assistant program at Saber College is a 76 credit hour program that awards graduates with an associate of science degree upon successful completion. The PTA Program at SABER College is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE) and prepares graduates for the licensing exam.
For their training at Saber College, students will gain a foundational knowledge in medical terminologies and physical therapies. Students also learn how to work in a physical therapist office and will gain experience in a real life medical setting.
The program generally takes two years to complete. Instruction covers theory and medical knowledge about the human body, joints, and pain as well as practical skills in massage therapy and stretching. With a combination of lectures, labs, and hands-on clinicals, students learn how to perform their duties as a physical therapist assistant.
