SABER College is proud to announce that its Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) Program with the Pre-Licensure Track has officially earned initial accreditation from the National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA). This milestone reflects SABER College’s ongoing commitment to academic excellence and student success in the field of healthcare education.
The NLN CNEA accreditation process is one of the most respected and comprehensive evaluations for nursing education programs nationwide. Achieving this status confirms that SABER College’s Nursing Program meets nationally recognized standards for curriculum quality, faculty qualifications, student learning outcomes, and institutional support.
According to Josefina Bonet, Chief Executive Officer of SABER College, this achievement represents years of focused planning, program development, and collaborative effort across the institution.
“This accreditation reflects our dedication to providing high-quality nursing education that prepares students for meaningful careers in healthcare,” Bonet said. “Our faculty, staff, and leadership team worked tirelessly to meet the rigorous standards set forth by NLN CNEA, and we are proud of this recognition.”
For students, the NLN CNEA accreditation provides assurance that their education aligns with national quality benchmarks. The program’s curriculum, clinical training partnerships, and learning assessments have all undergone thorough external review to ensure alignment with current industry expectations and educational best practices.
Sergio Wong, Director of Executive Affairs, highlighted the broader impact this accreditation will have on SABER College’s institutional visibility and reputation.
“This accreditation strengthens our position as a leader in nursing education within South Florida,” Wong stated. “It reflects our commitment to continuous improvement and supports our goal of offering educational programs that meet both student needs and industry demands.”
The accreditation process involved several key phases, including a detailed self-study, submission of evidence-based documentation, and a multi-day site visit by a team of NLN CNEA peer reviewers. The review focused on program outcomes, student achievement data, faculty development initiatives, and institutional resources supporting nursing education.
Pavel Pugh, MSN, APRN, CFNP, FEP, Program Director for the ADN Program, spoke about the role of the faculty and academic leadership in preparing for accreditation.
“Our nursing faculty demonstrated extraordinary dedication throughout the accreditation process,” Pugh said. “They engaged in comprehensive curriculum review, collaborated on data analysis, and worked to enhance every aspect of our program to ensure it aligns with the standards of excellence set by NLN CNEA.”
Students currently enrolled in the ADN Program will benefit immediately from this new accreditation status. Graduating from an accredited program offers several advantages, especially when pursuing advanced degrees or applying to institutions where accreditation status is a requirement for admission.
In the coming weeks, SABER College will be updating its website and marketing materials to highlight this new achievement. The NLN CNEA Accredited Program logo will be displayed on the Nursing Program webpage, admissions materials, and other digital and print communications.
The College will also continue its commitment to ongoing quality improvement by participating in required NLN CNEA reporting and evaluation processes, including annual performance monitoring and future reaccreditation reviews.
“This is a proud moment for SABER College,” Bonet said. “We look forward to continuing to provide our students with an education that meets the highest standards in nursing.”
Founded in 1972, SABER College has been serving South Florida for over five decades with a mission to empower students through education and prepare them for careers that make a difference in their communities.
