Weekend Nursing Program: A New Path at SABER College
The Weekend Nursing Program at SABER College was created to support working adults, parents and career changers who want to become Registered Nurses but cannot attend weekday classes. Many motivated individuals in South Florida have the desire to pursue nursing, yet traditional schedules make starting difficult. This new modality offers a flexible and practical option aligned with real life while maintaining the academic quality and clinical preparation that define our Nursing Program.
Why SABER College Created the Weekend Nursing Program
For many future nurses, weekday schedules create real barriers. Work demands, rotating shifts and family responsibilities often make traditional programs inaccessible. SABER College recognizes these realities and developed the Weekend Nursing Program to expand access to high quality nursing education for adult learners who need flexibility without sacrificing rigor.
Same Accredited Curriculum With a Flexible Weekend Schedule
The weekend modality follows the same accredited curriculum as our weekday Professional Nursing Program. Students receive comprehensive preparation in medical surgical nursing, maternal and child health, pharmacology, evidence based practice, health assessment and patient care planning. Clinical experiences are completed at partnering healthcare facilities to ensure competence, confidence and readiness for real world practice.
Faculty Support Designed for Working Adults
Our nursing faculty understand the needs of adult learners. They provide academic coaching, tutoring and personalized guidance throughout the program. Students receive steady support to manage coursework, build clinical judgment skills and remain aligned with their academic goals, from foundational courses to advanced practice.
Clinical Preparation That Meets Professional Standards
Clinical rotations are an essential part of nursing education. Weekend students complete clinical hours at the same affiliated healthcare sites used by weekday cohorts. This ensures that all graduates, regardless of schedule, meet the same professional competencies required by the field and are prepared for entry level nursing roles.
A Program Built for Parents Career Changers and Full Time Workers
Applicants to the Weekend Nursing Program often include parents supporting families, medical assistants, CNAs, patient care technicians, hospitality workers and adults transitioning into a new career. This modality allows them to pursue an Associate Degree in Nursing while maintaining employment and family responsibilities. The program is designed to support their goals without disrupting their lives.
Prepare for the NCLEX and a Future as a Registered Nurse
Graduates of the Weekend Nursing Program are prepared to take the NCLEX exam and enter the workforce as Registered Nurses. Career opportunities include roles in hospitals, clinics, rehabilitation centers, long term care facilities and community health organizations. SABER College combines academic preparation, hands on training and Career Services support to help students pursue their professional path with confidence.
