PTA Career Outlook is Looking UP in Florida

Florida is one of the top employers for Physical Therapist Assistants nationwide. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), Florida ranks #2 for the highest employment of PTAs by state, just behind Texas. Florida is also one of the most popular retirement states, contributing to the significant demand for Physical Therapist Assistants.

Demand for physical therapy is expected to increase in response to the health needs of an aging population, particularly the large baby-boom generation. The BLS reports a mean annual salary of $64,940 for Physical Therapist Assistants in Florida. The average hourly wage is reported to be $31.22 per hour.

“Saber College is an amazing school for PTA programs! The facilities are very clean and modern, the staff is super friendly, and you get top-of-the-line education in a very hands-on way. Not only did I receive my Associate's degree from Saber, but I felt prepared and confident to go out into the real world and succeed as a PTA.”
